About Us

Clinical Trials Navigator (CTN) is a pioneering initiative aimed at helping cancer patients find and participate in clinical trials through our advanced platform.

Founded by Dr. Caroline Hamm, a dedicated oncologist and researcher, CTN was created to bridge the gap between patients and potentially life-saving treatments available through clinical trials.

Our Mission

Our mission is to simplify the clinical trial process and empower patients to make informed decisions about their healthcare. Through our innovative platform, we ensure every patient has access to the best possible treatment options.

Our Vision

We envision a world where clinical trials are easily accessible to all cancer patients, providing hope and new treatment possibilities. Join us in our mission to make clinical trials a standard part of cancer care through our cutting-edge platform.

Our Team

Clinical Trials Navigator is supported by working and active medical licensed physicians.

Meet Dr. Hamm

Head Oncologist

Dr. Caroline Hamm is a dedicated oncologist who has seen firsthand the positive impact that participating in clinical trials could have on patient survival rates. However, she was all too familiar with the difficulties that patients faced in finding trials that were a good match for their unique needs and medical history. The current process was time-consuming, confusing, and often led to frustration and disappointment for both patients and doctors.

Determined to find a solution to this problem, Dr. Hamm conceived the idea for the Clinical Trial Network (CTN) app. Aiming to provide support with a team of professionals to search for and learn about trials that fit patients specific criteria, saving them time and effort compared to traditional methods. With CTN, Dr. Hamm believes that more patients will be able to participate in trials and have the chance to access life-saving treatments.

"It will save time because it's convenient.
It provides more information for potential patients to seek help on their own, also to.
And in a small sense, give them a little sense of control.”

{

"What made me excited and impressed initially was the amount of information and the genetic testing information that they wanted from us. And that they actually read and analyzed and looked through that was fantastic."

{

"It gives you the just that extra bit of excitement and hope."

Family member of patient

"It's so like tailored to the individual, it makes them feel like somebody cares a little bit."

"There's new things coming out everyday and to miss them would be just a, you know, a horrible thing."

Family member of patient

{

"You know that it's important to have somebody that knows what they're talking about, to get through the information."

Family member of patient

{

"I'm so happy that it is available and that we found it and it was something we did, legitimate, that was exciting, yeah."

"So it's really important for people who are going through this kind of psychological and emotional whirlwind to know that this is available in Canada."

Caregiver

{

"While it provides some hope, you know it's ethical. Yeah, it's ethical. It's transparent and free. Trustworthy. Mostly what I'm looking for is just something where I can get a straight answer for, you know, a straight question."

Caregiver

{

"Good response times, friendly people, supportive, emotionally supportive, fantastic experience so far. It's just like freaking sunshine coming out. Absolutely."

Caregiver

{

"The biggest thing that it's done for me is giving me a sense of hope and direction, something that I can focus on rather than, you know, being scattered all over the universe trying to find out what else can we do?"

Caregiver

{

"I feel like there's a need for it and that it should be bigger part of the conversation… And having that navigator service was a huge help."

Caregiver

{

"When I mentioned that I had come across a few clinical trials and that I was in communication with the Navigator who was doing that, an even broader search. His mood shifted. I think it just provides hope for patients that otherwise feel like they're at the end of the road."

Caregiver

{

"There's so much exciting research happening in terms of immunotherapy and like, yeah,  targeted therapies for cancer and I think it's just really important service to have."

Caregiver

{

"I personally know a few people that have benefited from clinical trials in a huge way. And you know, were given under a year to live and now that its been 8 years, 9 years and they're still around."
