Since May 2024, when I started as an intern in the Clinical Trials Navigator (CTN) Program under the guidance of Dr. Hamm, I have been responsible for identifying clinical trial options for patients with various cancers, such as lung, prostate, and pancreatic cancer, creating master lists, and working closely with the CTN team. I am also involved in securing financial assistance for patients by collaborating with organizations, including hotels, accommodations, transport agencies, and other partners who help ease patients’ journeys through their cancer treatment. Raising awareness about these available resources is important to me, as it ensures patients receive the support they need while battling this complex disease.
Before my current role at Windsor, I completed a Master’s in Clinical Medical Biophysics and a Diploma in Clinical Trials Management at the University of Western Ontario, where I built a strong foundation in drug development, trial monitoring, and medical imaging. My career began in India, where I earned an MSc in Physics from Panjab University and worked as a Medical Physicist Trainee. During this time, I contributed to research on imaging quality and safety and played a role in educating students during the pandemic.
As I continue my work in clinical trials and patient care, I remain passionate about fighting cancer for the patients I serve. I am committed to staying at the forefront of healthcare innovation, improving patient outcomes, and contributing to the evolving field of oncology research. Working alongside Dr. Hamm and this incredible team has been a deeply rewarding experience, and I am immensely grateful for the opportunity she has given me to be part of such a meaningful organization with its noble mission, and I look forward to making further contributions to clinical research and patient care.
To all the cancer patients I’ve had the honor of working with, your courage and resilience inspire me every day. You are not alone — we are with you every step of the way, providing the care and resources you need to keep moving forward.
